A fathers rights to an unborn child?

my close friend was deceived by this girl who led him on making him think she wanted a long term relationship. after using him for his money and home, she winds up pregnant, It's HIS! now she's back with her ex partner and refuses to allow my friend any information about the baby, prenatal appointments, ultrasounds, anything. She says he has no rights to the baby, SHE will be the one to name the baby, and it will have HER last name. she has no job, no vehicle, she lost her license, she dose not have a physical address, she has been diagnosed with being bi-polar and refuses to take her mead's, she has already lost her first son to his father on account that she and her partner were having relations in the same bed that her son was sleeping in, her partner isn't supposed to be around children, she has no respect for the law or the judicial system. she has been fired twice this past year because she arrives late, whenever she feels like it, dose whatever she wants while shes there and leaves early if she feels like it. Where my friend has had the same job for the past seven years and a second job for the past five. he only works Tue-Fri. on both jobs and has Sat-Mon. off. he owns his own home, and two vehicles. she is immature and thinks only of her self... What are my friends rights when it comes to his unborn baby? is he allowed to go to the prenatal visits? dose he have rights to the ultrasound pictures? Dose he have any rights when it comes to the name of the baby? if he goes for custody at birth what are his chances???
