I need help finding a healthy diet plan...?

I'm 6'2" and I weigh 295 lbs. My waist size is a 42, and I want to lose weight safely without pills or diet drinks. I'm not very good when it comes to food choices, so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I don't want to do an Atkins diet or any trend, I want to actually eat healthy and stay that way from here on out. I just need help with the specific foods and planning. I never know what to buy at the grocery, and it always seems I can't find the creativity to keep the diet from becoming monotonous. I want to get a plan I can stick to without paying the money for a personal trainer or dietitian. Can someone please help? THANK YOU!
